I haven't seen my daddy in a few years.
Life somehow thought that living on opposite sides of the planet would be for the benefit of all, so I've had to trust her on it.
Whether you are seeing your dad later today, catching up through Skype or phone call, or simply connecting through prayer, I thought I could offer a meditation to extend your heartfelt gratitude, forgiveness and love.
Have a seat and close your eyes.
Take a deep deep breath, and then exhale.
Picture your father.
One word at a time, internally speak a quality that your father has helped you learn. ex: "Patience"
Let it sink into the bottom of your heart.
Do this for one minute. It's it okay to repeat the same word(s).
End with a deep inhale and exhale, bow to your heart.
Feel yourself expand as you acknowledge the bond that you share, whether you are in physical contact or not.
May we always honor the ones that give us a piece of themselves,
