Why simply wanting what you want is NOT enough.

This is going to be short and sweet.

I am taking a wonderful 6 week course based on the The Six Paramitas, lead by my friend and coach of the century Adreanna Limbach (http://www.deliciousintent.com).

We are on week 4 and the subject is Diligence. And boooy, is it speaking to me.

Question: What do you call a Desire without a clear intention or supporting practice?

Answer: A WISH

You might as well just throw a penny in a fountain and get it over with. I'm sorry, its just not going to come true! The real reason why you are not getting what you want is not because you don't want it enough; it's because you are not giving it a means to execute what you want it to do!

 Don't piss your dreams away.

Don't piss your dreams away.

These are the 3 simple ways to add some teeth to that wish:

1. Get clear on the WHY behind your goal. That is called your intention and will be your greatest weapon in times of confusion or lack of enthusiasm. Write this down and keep it somewhere where you can see it every morning and every night. This little heartfelt statement will be your guiding star.

2. Prioritize your time and energy in a way that SUPPORTS your above intention. This is for when we are doing too much or when we are self-sabotaging. Are your habits and thoughts nourishing your vision? If yes, keep them going. If no, hasta la vista.

3. Keep showing up. We often get disheartened when we see no immediate or ideal results in response to our efforts. And how do we respond? We throw it all away. Streamers, what do you do if this happens? Suck it up, and keep going. It's called GRIT. Grit and patience make you a warrior of getting sh*t done and never feeling the bitterness of failed expectations. Write down two ways you can strengthen how you practice grit and patience with yourself.
